My Therapeutic Approach & Specializations
With clients, I will utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, art therapy, values work, and mindfulness. I am passionate about doing the work to discover and address issues at their core, and walking with clients to rebuild strong foundations after doing so.
I strive to create an inviting and accepting relationship with clients, built on trust, communication, and respectful collaboration. As a clinician, I provide individualized services that appeal to each client's unique goals, values, and personalities with a person-centered and strengths based approach.
My Education & Experience
I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Boise State University and a Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill.
My counseling experiences have allowed me to work with individuals ranging from elementary aged children, to elderly adults. I have obtained a skillset working with individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system, have experienced a variety of trauma, have been living with severe and persistent mental illness, have interacted with juvie and foster care systems, have experienced human trafficking, face daily challenges with anxiety, depression, & life transitions as well as individuals that have histories of abuse. I am passionate about working with individuals to reach their goals, and live authentically.
